What is WALTZ?

In brief: Waltz on the Wild Side: Let the Good Times Roar presented by Nabholz is a FUNdraiser. All proceeds go to new exhibits at the Tulsa Zoo. This year we are bringing the French Quarter to Tulsa as we masquerade, eat, drink and enjoy a second line jazz parade!

Give me more details: WALTZ on the Wild Side presented by Nabholz is the Tulsa Zoo’s largest fundraising event. All proceeds benefit the Building Beyond Your Wildest Dreams capital campaign which supports the zoo’s 20-year master plan. The 20-year master plan includes the newly opened Lost Kingdom and future exciting projects like Africa Wilds, expanding the elephants herd and more. Details at buildingbeyond.org Still curious? When is WALTZ?

Friday, June 21st
7pm till midnight
7pm- Gates Open | Tulsa Zoo
7pm-9pm- Top Local Cuisine |  Lost Kingdom
8:50pm Second Line Jazz Parade | Lost Kingdom to H.A. Chapman Event Lodge
9pm-midnight- Live music Masquerade with Professor D | H.A. Chapman Event Lodge

 

Are tickets available?

Yes! Purchase here. All tickets grant entry to an evening of food, drink, animal encounters, a second line parade, and live music masquerade.

General Admission: $200
Tulsa Zoo Members: $175
VIP Tickets: $350 (limit 75)
VIP tickets get all general admission perks PLUS two air-conditioned parlours, top shelf drinks and champagne, jazz music all night.

 

 

What do I wear?

We invite you to don a mask and carnival-themed attire and Let the Good Times Roar at our black-tie-optional party.  Comfortable shoes are recommended. Men typically wear anything from khaki shorts and a nice shirt to a suit- want to wear that tuxedo jacket with shorts? Go for it! Women wear cocktail dresses or sundresses- animal themed accessories are always welcome!

 

 

What about the weather?

Wine and dine, rain or shine! We do our best to keep guests cool and dry, but please dress prepared for the summer’s heat.

 

 

Are the food and drinks included?

Absolutely! Curious which local favs are coming, check out the restaurant list.

 

 

Is the event all ages?

No, guests must be 21 or over to attend.

 

 

Can I ride the train?

Of course! The train will run at the end of the night to return guests to the front of the zoo.

 

 

Will I see any animals?

Yes! As you walk into Lost Kingdom meet, greet and learn about animals up close from our docents. Lost Kingdom is open for you to explore during the restaurant hours.

 

 

I forgot to buy a ticket, can I purchase one at the door?

To provide the best event experience tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets are available online, over the phone or in the front admissions office. Tickets purchased before June 14 will be mailed. Any tickets purchased on or after this date will be available at will-call (located at the bottom of the main entry bridge) the night of the event. Tickets purchased the day of the event must be done via phone before 5pm. Tickets are non-refundable.

 

 

Is my ticket tax-deductible?

Yes! A portion of every ticket is tax deductible. You will receive a tax letter with your purchase.

 

 

What are the VIP Parlours?

There are two VIP air-conditioned parlours available to VIP ticket attendees. Chic seating, upgraded cocktails, live music. Supporting, Major and Presenting Sponsors recieve VIP tickets as part of their sponsorship package. Wristbands (mailed with tickets) are required for entry.

 

 

How do I become a sponsor?
