What is WALTZ?

In brief:  Waltz on the Wild Side: Flamingo Nights is a fundraiser. All proceeds benefit building new animal habitats through Phase 2 of the Building Beyond capital campaign.

When is WALTZ?

New date! September 18, 2020
7pm till midnight
7pm- Gates Open | Tulsa Zoo
7pm-9pm- Top Local Cuisine |  Lost Kingdom
9pm-midnight- Live Music | H.A. Chapman Event Lodge

 

Are tickets available?

All tickets grant entry to an evening of food, drink, animal encounters, live music and seating under the stars.

General Admission: $200
Tulsa Zoo Members: $175
VIP Tickets: $350 (limit 75)
VIP tickets get all general admission perks PLUS two air-conditioned lounges, top shelf drinks and champagne, live music all night.

 

 

What do I wear?

At our 30th annual black-tie-optional party comfortable shoes are recommended. Men typically wear anything from khaki shorts and a nice shirt to a suit- want to wear that tuxedo jacket with shorts? Go for it! Women wear cocktail dresses or sundresses- animal themed accessories are always welcome!

 

 

What about the weather?

Wine and dine, rain or shine! We do our best to keep guests cool and dry, but please dress prepared for the summer’s heat.

 

 

Are the food and drinks included?

Absolutely!

 

 

Is the event all ages?

No, guests must be 21 or over to attend.

 

 

Can I ride the train?

Of course! The train will run at the end of the night to return guests to the front of the zoo.

 

 

Will I see any animals?

Yes! As you walk into Lost Kingdom meet, greet and learn about animals up close from our docents. Lost Kingdom is open for you to explore during the restaurant hours.

 

 

I forgot to buy a ticket, can I purchase one at the door?

To provide the best event experience tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets are available starting in January 2020.

You can purchase them over the phone or in the front admissions office. Tickets purchased before June 12 will be mailed. Any tickets purchased on or after this date will be available at will-call (located at the bottom of the main entry bridge) the night of the event. Tickets purchased the day of the event must be done via phone before 5pm. Tickets are non-refundable.

 

 

Is my ticket tax-deductible?

Yes! A portion of every ticket is tax deductible. You will receive a tax letter with your purchase.

 

 

What are the VIP Areas?

There are two VIP air-conditioned lounges available to VIP ticket attendees. Chic seating, upgraded cocktails, live music. Supporting, Major and Presenting Sponsors receive VIP tickets as part of their sponsorship package. Wristbands (mailed with tickets) are required for entry.

 

 

How do I become a sponsor?

We offer a wide variety of sponsor levels (details here) that come with a variety of VIP perks, available for purchase through our Corporate Sponsorship Manager directly. Jenna Friend, at 918-669-6614. Sponsorships will be available for purchase online starting January 2020.
